About 11Crochet

A cozy corner of the web for crochet lovers.

Welcome to 11Crochet. I’m Amelia, and this is where I gather the free patterns I love most, all curated and credited so you can skip the searching and start the making.

My Story

From a family of makers to a very guilty yarn stash.

Crochet has been in my family for as long as I can remember. I grew up watching it happen around me, the hook always moving somewhere in the room, and eventually it just stuck. I’m so glad it did. That first finished square felt like a small kind of magic, and honestly it still does.

These days I’m completely obsessed with accessories. Bags, hats, and the occasional little something I never planned to make but couldn’t help myself. There’s something deeply satisfying about finishing a project you can actually carry around every day. Over the past five years I’ve turned that obsession into 11Crochet, where I write about patterns, yarn, and everything in between.

When I’m not crocheting you’ll probably find me browsing yarn I definitely do not need, or starting a new project before finishing the last one. We don’t talk about the WIP pile.

What you’ll find here

11Crochet is a curated library of free crochet patterns, organized by category and written up in a way that’s easy to follow whether you’re a beginner working your very first chain or an experienced maker chasing a stretch project. Every pattern featured here is fully credited and linked back to the talented designer who created it. I’m just the friendly curator pointing you toward the good stuff.

Browse the collection by whatever you feel like making. If accessories are your thing, you’ll find pieces like the Elegant Gold Lace Overlay Bucket Bag waiting in the bags collection. If you’re more into squishy little creatures, the amigurumi shelf has favorites like the Coral Mermaid Doll with Flower Crown and the very cheerful Festive Highland Cow Amigurumi. And if you’re making something for a tiny human, the baby category has soft, cozy makes like the Pink Bubble Stitch Baby Romper Set.

Brand new to the hook? Start in the tutorials section, where the basics are broken down stitch by stitch before you commit to a full project.

What I believe in

01

Patterns That Actually Work

Every pattern I share is checked and written up so you can follow it without second guessing every row. If a stitch count would trip me up, it gets rewritten until it doesn’t.

02

Beginner Friendly Energy

Crochet should feel welcoming. I write the way I’d explain something to a friend across my kitchen table, because that’s exactly how it ought to feel.

03

Honest Recommendations

Yarn picks, hook suggestions, blocking tips. I only recommend things I actually use and trust, and I’ll happily tell you when something isn’t worth the splurge.

Making something with your own hands is one of the most satisfying feelings there is. 11Crochet exists to help more people discover that.

Beyond the patterns

In my spare time you’ll usually find me baking something I probably shouldn’t be eating that often, wandering through craft fairs, or hunting down vintage stitch dictionaries at flea markets. I share a lot of those finds, plus pattern roundups, color inspiration, and behind the scenes peeks at works in progress over on Pinterest. If you’d like to follow along between blog posts, my Pinterest boards are the best place to find me.

I also love hearing from readers. If you make one of the patterns featured here, run into a tricky row, or just want to say hi, please reach out. Real conversations with other makers are easily my favorite part of running this little corner of the internet.
